You can also use it to get an understanding of your competitors, which can give you the insights you need to craft a coherent and successful competitive position.
Who?
The creator is unknown but the oldest presentation of the techniques was made at the Standford Research Institute by Albert S. Humphrey in the 1960s.
Why?
SWOT helps you know yourself and the environment where you leave in. It helps you discover your strengths, weakness, new opportunities, and possible threats. It is a good starting point to consistently plan your objectives.
